Plus, I typically only need the blade portion of the multi-tool, so having a simple pocket knife is far smaller in your pocket, vs a full toolbox. Having a Single blade is easy to control and you only need to focus on finding one thing instead of searching through to find the specific one you need. In addition, having the bulkier Swiss Army Knife really bulges in your pocket (like it’s letting everyone know that you have one). I agree that Swiss Army knives are pretty handy, yet I never really use the various small tools that accompany the knife, even on scouting retreats.
